The 5x4 Photographic & Darkroom Experience
MPP 5x4inch Monorail Camera with 150mm Lens- Pic Neale james
Welcome.
I would like to introduce you to my two-day photographic and traditional darkroom experience which is about slowing down and taking real and considered time with your photography. Using large format 5x4 cameras and tradition photographic darkroom processes I will demonstrate to you a way of seeing and creating a photographic print which is deliberately slow, considered and hopefully more meaningful for you.
Over the course of two days I will help to guide you through what I consider to be a wonderful photographic process of calm reflection, observation, emotional experience and making just one B&W silver gelatin print.
This experience is all about the process, journey and intent of photography and the physical photograph itself. It’s intended to be a calm quiet and gentle experience, leaving the busy and hectic world of speed, automation and computers aside, just for a while.
